    Server Rules

    To keep RustMates fair and fun for everyone, please follow these rules. Ignorance is not an excuse — read them carefully.

    General Rules
    6 rules

    • •Respect all players. Harassment, hate speech, racism, or discrimination of any kind is not tolerated.
    • •English only in global chat. Use local/DM for other languages.
    • •No spamming, advertising, or excessive caps in chat.
    • •Do not impersonate staff members.
    • •Follow staff instructions at all times.
    • •Exploiting bugs or glitches is strictly forbidden and will result in a permanent ban.

    Team & Group Limits
    5 rules

    • •Solo server: Team limit of 1 — strictly enforced. No alliances or 'unofficial' teams.
    • •Solo/Duo server: Team limit of 2 — no grouping beyond your registered teammate.
    • •Main server: Team limit of 4 — medium-sized groups only.
    • •Building next to or near another team's base with the intent to merge is prohibited.
    • •Team limits are enforced by admins and automated checks.

    Building & Raiding
    5 rules

    • •No building on monuments, roads, or safe zones.
    • •No external wall stacks or unraidable design exploits.
    • •Griefing (building to block access or cause nuisance) is prohibited.
    • •Raid bases must be removed within 48 hours after the raid.
    • •No 'roof camping' on monuments — stay active and engaged.

    Chat & Communication
    5 rules

    • •No toxicity, excessive swearing, or personal attacks.
    • •No stream sniping or stream cheating.
    • •Do not share personal information of other players (doxxing).
    • •Report rule breakers via Discord tickets — do not argue in chat.
    • •False reports may result in a penalty.

    Combat & PvP
    4 rules

    • •Combat logging (disconnecting during PvP) is prohibited.
    • •No third-party tools that give an unfair advantage (aimbots, ESP, etc.).
    • •No using alt accounts to bypass bans or team limits.
    • •Teaming with players outside your team limit during combat is not allowed.

    Exploits & Cheating
    4 rules

    • •Any form of cheating will result in an immediate permanent ban — no warnings.
    • •Using esp, aimbot, fly hacks, speed hacks, or any external cheat is prohibited.
    • •Exploiting game bugs for personal gain is treated as cheating.
    • •Ban appeals are reviewed on Discord — false claims waste everyone's time.

    Penalties & Enforcement
    5 rules

    • •First minor offense: Warning + chat mute (1-24 hours).
    • •Second offense: Temporary ban (1-7 days) depending on severity.
    • •Major offenses (cheating, exploiting, hate speech): Permanent ban — no appeal.
    • •Ban evasion via alt accounts extends the ban and may result in IP ban.
    • •Staff decisions are final. Arguing with staff in public channels may result in additional penalties.

    VIP & Perks
    5 rules

    • •VIP perks are QoL improvements only — never pay-to-win.
    • •VIP does not grant immunity from server rules.
    • •VIP players breaking rules are subject to the same penalties.
    • •Chargebacks or payment disputes will result in immediate VIP removal and potential ban.
    • •VIP is non-transferable and tied to your Steam account.
